The Cambridge Brainbox kits are designed in the UK and cover a wide spectrum of ages and experiments. The 3 kits can all be used together and are very popular in schools as they cover the National Curriculum requirements.
Each kit includes a manual showing all the circuits that can be built with the kit. The parts are colour coded and numbered and are housed in a specially designed box having separate compartments for each of the major components. All the parts are designed for quick and easy assembly, all components being connected together with press-studs on a baseboard. This system of construction puts the emphasis on the design and working of the circuit, rather than the construction. Very little skill is required to assemble the components so making the kits suitable for all abilities.
The Primary kit is designed to teach children the basic principles of electrics and electronics in a fun way and is suitable for use in the classroom or the home. It covers the requirements of the Science National Curriculum at Key Stages 1 & 2 with links to Design and Technology and adds many extra exciting experiments for good measure ! The kit comes complete with National Curriculum worksheets covering Key Stage 1 and 2 Science at levels 2F, 4F and 6G and with teacher/parent notes. Learn about and design electric circuits to:
